Connect your own Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive account, add the folders you want to watch, and Screening Room lists the videos inside them and streams playback straight from the drive—no full download first, and no copy to import. Files you choose to protect are encrypted on your iPhone before they are saved back to your own drive.

Does Screening Room import videos into a private vault?
No. Screening Room is designed to encrypt and play files in the storage location you choose, rather than maintaining a separate media vault inside the app. Read the private player without importing guide.
Can I use it with iCloud Drive or a NAS?
Yes. Screening Room works with user-selected locations exposed through the iOS Files system, including iCloud Drive, NAS connections, and compatible third-party file providers. Learn how to protect videos stored in iCloud Drive, or read the private NAS playback guide.
Can I play videos stored in OneDrive or Google Drive?
Yes. You can connect your own Microsoft OneDrive or Google Drive account, add folders from it, and Screening Room lists the videos in those folders and streams them directly from the drive. Authorization happens on your device, and Screening Room’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Will videos appear in Files Recents after I watch them?
Opening protected media through Screening Room helps keep ordinary media previews out of Files Recents. Screening Room cannot clear existing Recents entries or change the Files app’s Recents feature. The encrypted file itself may still be visible in Files according to its location and normal Files behavior. Read the Files Recents privacy guide.
Does Screening Room upload my files?
No. File encryption, decryption, and playback are performed on your device, and the app does not automatically upload your media to developer-controlled servers.
